When people are training BJJ, jiu jitsu, MMA,wrestling, rock climbing, basketball and other sports they are almost certain to get hurt with their figner joints at some point. Especially when you grab the gee over time you start to get like a lille swell on your knuckles. The finger tape acts as a nice support and just allows you to train in a more protective way.
First, clean your fingers and make them dry.
Second, put an anchor strip at both ends of the finger so we can secure other tape strips to these anchors.
Next, put functional tape strips on the fingers. Cross the joints from the bottom to the top at both side of the finger and now it looks like an X. Remember to keep the finger in bended position so the tape mantains functional.
Now we are going to add an additional strip. Bend the finger a little bit more, apply a piece of strip that goes rail down the middle to help to maintain that bend. This helps limit your fingers when pushing the fingers alll the way into extension which gets a lot of pain.
Next way is closing. Put a strip at the end of the finger, do the same work at the other end, so they close and secure every taping job. Now the taping job is finished.
This is optional finger strapping job if you feel it is still not quite enough support. Put again a strip on top of two figners, and the same job strapping around the bottom of two fingers, so it is holding two fingers together and two figners are going to work together to provide a little additional protection.
